Barry Mathis to Participate in Data and Network Security Panel

data and network securityPYA Principal Barry Mathis will serve as part of a panel discussion at the American Medical Informatics Association iHealth 2017 Clinical Informatics Conference.

The panel will explore the state of cybersecurity in healthcare organizations and related legal considerations, including the HIPAA privacy and security rules.  It will consider institutional preparedness, provide examples, and offer preventive measures.  The panel also will discuss ransomware attacks, including tactics for negotiating with hackers, and provide best practices for organizations to avoid such attacks.

The Conference takes place May 2-4, 2017, in Philadelphia, PA.
