Waugh Discusses Quality, Patient Safety, Compliance at Montana Summit

Senior Manager Traci Waugh will present “Integrating Quality and Patient Safety into Compliance Programs” at the Montana Hospital Association (MHA) 2024 Health Summit, which takes place April 10-12 in Butte. The annual summit is the premiere event for healthcare leaders in the state. It focuses on emerging health equity trends, population health, compliance, workforce development, rural health transformation, and more.

In her presentation on April 10, Waugh will cover new guidance from the Office of Inspector General (OIG) for integrating quality and patient safety oversight into compliance programs to mitigate the risk of patient harm. She also will discuss the OIG’s Corporate Integrity Agreements that aim to increase the focus on quality of care and patients.

Attendees will learn essential tactics for integrating quality best practices to maintain patient safety and adhere to compliance standards.

The 80 members of the MHA provide comprehensive healthcare services to the citizens of Montana. The MHA advocates for the interests of its members to improve health in the communities they serve.
