CMS Outlines Important Dates Under the “Big Top”

You may feel as if you are performing in a circus–trying to juggle the constant barrage of important dates and deadlines related to healthcare reform. But before the balls are dropped and the curtain falls, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has stepped in with a tool to help you keep your act at center stage.
According to a CMS eHealth update, a new resource is available to help you keep CMS programs’ key dates in order. The 2013-2014 eHealth Programs Timeline outlines upcoming milestones occurring over the next year. The interactive timeline identifies key dates, provides corresponding required actions, and offers available resources to see you through the process. You’ll find highlights of CMS programs that include:

  • eRx Incentive
  • Medicare and Medicaid Electronic Health Record (EHR) Incentive
  • Administrative Simplification
  • ICD-10
  • Quality Measurement
  • Physician Quality Reporting System (PQRS)
  • PQRS-Medicare EHR Reporting Pilot
  • 2013 Hospital Reporting Pilot Program through QualityNet

The timeline is available on the Resources page of the CMS eHealth website.
If you need further assistance reaching any of the CMS milestones, contact the expert listed below at PYA, (800) 270-9629.
