“Effective Compliance Due Diligence”

PYA Senior Manager Kristen Lilly-Davidson presented at the Health Care Compliance Association Healthcare Enforcement Compliance Conference. The conference brought together compliance experts as well as government enforcement leaders to give an overview of regulatory changes, expectations, and key priorities.

Kristen was joined by Zach Simpson and Susan St. John, attorneys with the Florida Healthcare Law Firm. Their presentation, “Effective Compliance Due Diligence,”:

  • Explored the foundation of a comprehensive compliance-centered due diligence process.
  • Explored how transaction structures affect the scope and approach of due diligence, review the minimum compliance due diligence that should occur, and share best practices for monitoring post-transaction compliance and mitigation of identified risks.
  • Examined case studies, lessons learned, practice tips, risks, and common pitfalls of conducting due diligence.

The conference was held virtually November 8-10, 2021. Participants could earn up to 21 CEU credits. View the slides here.
