David McMillan, Managing Principal of Consulting and Firm CFO, has been inducted into the Leadership Knoxville Class of 2024. McMillan will participate in the organization’s Flagship Program, a 10-month experience that combines community engagement with professional leadership skill-building and networking.
McMillan leads the consulting practice at PYA. For more than three decades, he has served clients across the country and is often called upon to provide advisory services for healthcare executives and boards of directors. He is the author or editor of dozens of thought leadership articles, white papers, and other published works. A certified public accountant, McMillan is active in numerous national and state professional associations and is a graduate of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
For almost 40 years, Leadership Knoxville has connected community leaders, provided servant leadership skills, enhanced knowledge of issues facing the Knoxville area, and fostered meaningful engagement in East Tennessee. Through its mission of building “a strong Knoxville by developing people and groups, leading to a greater community,” the organization provides leadership programs, community workshops, and events for a diverse group of community leaders each year, according to its website.
The Leadership Knoxville Class of 2024 embarked in August 2023 and will conclude in May 2024. Each class comprises 45-55 leaders who represent the diversity of the Knoxville region.
