Jessica Scouten

Director of Forensic Services and Senior Manager – Healthcare Consulting

Jessica has more than 15 years of litigation, forensic, audit and assurance, and advisory experience. Her expertise lies in providing financial advisory, litigation, and forensic investigation services to PYA healthcare clients, helping them to navigate the continually evolving changes of the industry.

Throughout her career, Jessica has led teams of healthcare professionals to provide turnaround management. She has spearheaded efforts to assist distressed healthcare entities and directed and advised in healthcare financial investigations. Jessica served as a court-appointed receiver over an assisted living facility to stabilize the business and maximize the asset value.

In addition, Jessica has extensive experience leading corporate fraud and internal investigations, serving as an expert witness, and working as a financial advisor to distressed companies. She has conducted insolvency and forensic accounting matters involving public and private operating companies, municipalities, healthcare facilities, nonprofits, and other businesses.

Jessica earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting degree from Messiah College. She is a certified public accountant, certified fraud examiner, certified insolvency and restructuring advisor, and master analyst in financial forensics. A member of many professional associations, including the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, American Health Law Association, and Association of Fraud Examiners, Jessica serves on the boards of directors for Habitat for Humanity of Greater Nashville and Turnaround Management Association. She is active in the Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants, Women in White Collar Defense Association, and Nashville Young Leaders Council. She received the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts 40 Under 40 Next Generation of Industry Leaders Award.
