PYA Principal Martie Ross was invited to participate in a recent episode of Rural Health Rising, a Hillsdale Hospital podcast on the unique challenges faced by rural healthcare providers. Martie provided insight in Episode 69 “Rules & Regs: Navigating a Complex Regulatory Environment.” Noting the number of regulations can be intimidating to providers, she said the key is figuring out what hospitals can do within the parameters of regulations, rather than viewing them as a barrier.

Rural Health Rising launched on National Rural Health Day in 2020, and has since become a member of the Health Podcast Network. The weekly podcast features Hillsdale’s President and CEO JJ Hodshire and Director of Marketing and Development Rachel Lott, who interview national guests including rural health experts, members of Congress, economic development professionals, rural hospital CEOs and CFOs, and hospital association leadership.
