The American Health Law Association (AHLA) named PYA a 2023 Top Volunteer Organization in its inaugural award program, which was featured in the AHLA Health Law Connections magazine.
The Top Volunteer Organizations award honors firms and organizations that support AHLA’s educational mission by “consistently and enthusiastically [encouraging] and [sustaining] their employees’ volunteer contributions to AHLA’s publications, conferences, webinars, and podcasts,” according to the organization. Twenty-five firms and organizations from across the nation were recognized for having the most AHLA authors and speakers over the past year.
Insights from three PYA leaders, Annapoorani Bhat, Principal, Charlotte; Deborah Biggs, Principal, Tampa; and Valerie Rock, Principal, Atlanta, were featured in the magazine. As frequent contributors to the AHLA mission, each provided perspectives on these topics:
- How volunteering for AHLA contributes to success in health law
- Rewarding aspects of the volunteer experience
- Advice for others who want to volunteer for AHLA
The full article was published in the October/November issue, where it is available to AHLA members and subscribers.
