“Enforcement and Compliance for General Counsel and Compliance Officers”

There is more going on in Washington than what we often hear goes on in Washington—including the convergence of healthcare compliance leaders around the country working to address emerging issues in healthcare regulations, compliance, and enforcement. Participants of the Health Care Compliance Association (HCCA) 2019 Healthcare Enforcement Compliance Conference will hear first-hand from government officials about regulatory changes, expectations, and key industry priorities, and will gain the knowledge and skills needed to properly address potential violations and improve compliance programs.

PYA Principal and Chief Compliance Officer Shannon Sumner will join John Kelly of Bass, Berry & Sims PLC and Lisa Adkins of Children’s National Health, in a panel discussion, “Enforcement and Compliance for General Counsel and Compliance Officers.” They will:

  • Outline healthcare fraud and abuse matters, placing compliance programs and legal counsel as the first lines of defense.
  • Provide guidance and insight about common concerns from the perspectives of in-house counsel, compliance officer, and outside counsel.
  • Offer advice on best practices to minimize identified risks and enhance both legal and compliance functions.

The conference takes place November 3-6, 2019, in Washington, DC. Learn more and register here.

PYA assists hospitals, health systems, and their legal counsel with matters involving compliance, valuation, and strategy and integration.  If you would like more information, visit our executives below at the PYA conference booth, or contact them at (800) 270-9629.
