“Building a Strong Compliance Infrastructure: Lessons Learned From Physician Practice Diligence”

PYA Principal Valerie Rock and Senior Manager Kristen Davidson presented at the virtual Health Care Compliance Association’s (HCCA) annual Clinical Practice Compliance Conference. With so many regulations, providers must implement and maintain a robust compliance program. In their session, “Building a Strong Compliance Infrastructure: Lessons Learned From Physician Practice Diligence,” Valerie and Kristen provided insights from their experiences evaluating compliance risks during pre-acquisition due diligence and what physician practices can do to strengthen their compliance program. Their session covered lessons learned and recommendations including:

  • Often-missing key components of a strong foundation.
  • Common cracks in the wall of infrastructure.
  • Self-assessment as a means to identify areas of focus for reinforcing the “house.”

This conference took place October 11-12, 2022.
