PYA Principal Angie Caldwell presented at the National CPA Health Care Advisors Association (HCAA) Spring Conference, which was held as part of the Blueprint for Growth: Rainmaker SuperConference this year. Her presentation, “Trending Topics in Provider Compensation,” took place during the healthcare track on day two of the conference. Angie provided an overview of provider compensation’s continually evolving trends from the hospital-employed and private practice perspectives. The presentation covered:
- The impact of the Modernizing and Clarifying the Physician Self-Referral Regulations (effective January 19, 2021) and 2022 Medicare Physician Fee Schedule Final Rule (effective January 1, 2022).
- The future of the work relative value unit in provider compensation design and structure.
- Trends and incentives in value-based compensation.
