PYA Announces Three New Principals

PYA, a leading healthcare consulting and certified public accounting firm, is pleased to announce the arrival of three new Principals to the Firm.  

PYA has announced three new Principals are joining the Firm in first quarter: Brian Fuller, Kathy Greenlee, and Merle Glasgow.

“PYA is pleased to have added these three high-impact industry professionals,” said PYA President Marty Brown.  “Their years of experience span industries, all levels of government, and various populations.  We are eager to demonstrate the many ways their skills can not only benefit our clients, but those they serve.”

Brian Fuller joined PYA in January as a Healthcare Consulting Principal.  Bringing over two decades of provider strategic advisory experience to PYA and its clients, Fuller has led health systems and provider organizations through multi-faceted projects, including health system/network enterprise growth, strategic options evaluation and mergers-and-acquisitions advisory services, clinical service line strategy, and the development of consumer and ambulatory networks.  Additionally, Fuller brings to PYA deep industry knowledge in pre- and post-merger integration, strategic and financial due diligence, and physician enterprise optimization.  As an industry thought leader, Fuller has presented on a variety of topics, including implications of industry transformation; strategic planning; structural evolution of the U.S. health system; and best practices for identifying, evaluating, and executing strategic partnerships for national organizations such as the American Hospital Association, The Governance Institute, and the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA).   

Fuller is involved in multiple local, state, and national professional organizations, including the American College of Healthcare Executives and HFMA.  He has authored articles in various healthcare industry publications, including hfm, Trustee, and Spectrum.  Fuller holds a Master of Business Administration from The Fuqua School of Business at Duke University.

Kathy Greenlee has also joined PYA as a Healthcare Consulting Principal.  She is a visionary thought leader and innovator and brings to the Firm three decades of state, federal, and international executive experience.  Greenlee is a nationally recognized leader in aging and long-term care; and, through legislative and administrative management, has supported significant growth in various organizations.  Greenlee has served as the Assistant Secretary for Aging at the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services (HHS); the Kansas Secretary for Aging, Chief of Staff, and Chief of Operations; and general counsel for the Kansas Insurance Department.  She also created the Administration for Community Living and was its first Administrator.  And since returning from Washington, Greenlee has been a Senior Health Policy Advisor for the Kansas-City-based Center for Practical Bioethics and an adjunct faculty member at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law.

Greenlee is active in several national professional organizations, including the National Academy of Social Insurance, the National Council on Aging, and the American Bar Association Commission on Law and Aging.  She has also served on the National Academies of Medicine Forum on Aging, Disability, and Independence.  She holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Kansas School of Law.

Merle Glasgow joins PYA as a Principal in Business Development.  He brings to PYA more than two decades of executive management and operational leadership experience.  Specifically, his expertise in business development, sales and marketing management, strategic partnerships, corporate training, investment strategies, and investor relations has allowed him to successfully manage top-line growth strategies across multiple industries—healthcare, technology, and manufacturing.  Glasgow has served as Principal for a private equity and leadership services firm, with a focus on lower-middle-market investments in the healthcare and business services industries and as Vice President of Sales and Marketing for a revenue cycle management services company, working with hospital systems across the country.  He has had extensive involvement—business plan development, fundraising within angel and venture capital networks, and hands-on operational guidance—with start-up and early stage healthcare companies.  Additionally, Glasgow held the roles of General Manager and Regional Sales Director for one of the world’s largest hi-tech distributors of semiconductors and other electronic components, and served in various executive roles for a large subsidiary of a Fortune 200 computer software products company.

Glasgow is active in several local and national organizations including the Nashville Health Care Council, the Healthcare Information Management Systems Society, and HFMA, where he served as board member and sponsorship committee chair of the Tennessee Chapter.  He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Austin Peay State University.
