Executives Share Expertise on Contract Negotiations and Life Sciences Arrangements

Value-Based Care Arrangements, Risk, Transactions in Healthcare

PYA is pleased to sponsor and present during the American Health Law Association (AHLA) 2025 AHLA Annual Meeting, June 30-July 2, in San Diego. During the meeting, AHLA will host leading experts in health law and the healthcare industry, who will offer in-depth analysis of legal, regulatory, and operational issues facing the industry.

On July 1, Robert Paskowski, Principal, will co-present “Practical Considerations for Providers in Negotiating Network Contracts” with Salvatore Rotella, Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney PC. The presentation will address negotiating strategies and tactics, aspects beyond rates, value-based payment components in network participation, the adequacy of payer networks, and direct messaging to purchasers.

On July 1 and 2, Tynan Kugler, PYA Principal, and Mara Smith-Kouba, Bristol Myers Squibb, will present “Law and Order-ing: Doubling Down on Life Sciences Arrangements.” The session will address the need for life sciences organizations to evaluate objectives and risks related to programs that provide value to referral sources and ensure such arrangements are structured to avoid improper interactions. Attendees will learn current regulatory considerations, best practices, and how to operationalize compliant relationships.

As a longtime supporter of AHLA, PYA is proud to sponsor the 2025 meeting.

If you would like guidance related to healthcare compliance, regulatory implications, physician contracts, and other matters related to the healthcare industry, our executives are happy to assist.
