Angie Caldwell, Principal, has been selected as a faculty member for the Physician Leader Compensation Institute presented by the American Association of Provider Compensation Professionals (AAPCP).
Caldwell joins other recognized physician compensation experts from across the country to teach in the live-virtual institute, a learning opportunity for new and experienced physician leaders. The three-month institute prepares physicians to lead with integrity, support compliance, and drive alignment between pay and performance as they gain knowledge to strategically and fairly manage physician and advanced practice provider compensation.
Caldwell will teach the cohort of 14 physician leaders in August. She will present the course, “Fundamentals of Compensation Models,” which provides an overview of compensation models and structures, specifically salary-based, productivity-based, shift-based, and hybrid models.
In the interactive session, Caldwell will help physician leaders learn how to design strategic models that balance quality, organizational goals, and physician performance. They will analyze the strategies, pros, and cons of each model and understand how to align compensation incentives with goals.
Other topics offered during the institute include
- Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, and regulatory compliance
- Fair market value, commercial reasonableness, and market trends
- Data literacy and productivity benchmarks
- Compensation conversations and organizational change
