Joe has more than 25 years of experience and technical expertise with a focus on international tax strategies. For more than 15 years, he served as Senior Tax Counsel for The Coca-Cola Company, where he was responsible for overall tax planning, advisory, compliance review, and more for the company’s operations in many locations across the world. He has guided major multinational companies in planning, designing, and executing effective tax strategies, complying with the law, and managing controversies. Joe’s experience includes cross-border tax planning for mergers and acquisitions, financing, and intellectual property transactions, incentive negotiations, tax audit defense, legislative tax monitoring, and tax rate management, among others.
Joe earned a Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of Wisconsin Law School and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting degree, summa cum laude, from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He has been involved with the Wisconsin Bar Association and served in the United States Army, 1986-1990.
