David McMillan

David serves as the firm’s President. Having begun his career performing financial statement audits, David moved into an advisory and consulting role more than 30 years ago.  Since then, he has served clients across the country, leading strategic planning exercises, merger and acquisition projects, feasibility studies, compensation design, and fair market valuation services. David is often called upon to provide advisory services for healthcare executives and boards of directors and is a frequent meeting and retreat facilitator. He is a requested speaker for clients and professional associations and is the author or editor of dozens of thought leadership articles, white papers, and other published works.

David earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree with honors from the University of Tennessee. He is involved with the Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and American Health Law Association. He is a member of Leadership Knoxville Class of 2024 and the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, Chancellor’s Associates. David serves on the Finance Committee of the United Way of Greater Knoxville and has held volunteer leadership roles in many other nonprofit organizations including The Restoration House, Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Kids on the Block of Knoxville, Central Baptist Church of Fountain City, and Carson-Newman University.
