PYA’s End-of-PHE Compliance Checklist Featured in National HCCA Article

A compliance checklist created by PYA consultants, Martie Ross and Kathy Reep, to prepare healthcare providers for the end of the COVID-19 public health emergency (PHE) was featured in the March 20, 2023, issue of Report on Medicare Compliance. The national publication is produced by the Health Care Compliance Association (HCCA) to provide updates on compliance strategies specifically pertaining to Medicare. The HCCA article, “Compliance Checklist for the End of the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency (PHE),” provides an excerpt from the full 11-page checklist.

On May 11, 2023, the PHE will expire, as announced by the Biden Administration in January. The end of the PHE means numerous federal regulatory waivers and flexibilities will be terminated, greatly impacting healthcare providers. In response, Ross and Reep created the End-of-the-PHE Compliance Checklist, a free resource for healthcare providers.

Additionally, Ross and Reep hosted a webinar for nearly 1,000 professionals on March 15, 2023, to present and discuss the checklist. Watch an on-demand recording of the March 15 webinar. The webinar was part of PYA’s twice-monthly Healthcare Regulatory Roundup series during which experts from across the firm provide practical insights on the latest regulatory developments.
