PYA Sponsors Sixth Annual Polsinelli Reimbursement Summit

PYA was pleased to again sponsor the annual Polsinelli Health Care Reimbursement Summit. PYA has sponsored this series since its inception in 2016. The two-part virtual event offered in-depth and timely information focused exclusively on Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial reimbursement issues.

Among the presenters, PYA Principal Mike Nichols joined Colleen Faddick, a shareholder at Polsinelli, in the session “COVID and Reimbursement Issues.” They discussed the impact of testing, treatment, and COVID-19 vaccinations on reimbursement and cost reports, including:

  • What’s new with testing — licensure, enrollment, payment, and enforcement.
  • How providers should plan for vaccine mandate compliance.
  • The impact of COVID-19 on hospital margins.
  • The cost report treatment of COVID-19-related funds.

The two-day reimbursement summit agenda included these sessions:

Day One – Tuesday, March 8, 2022, 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. CST

 Day Two – Wednesday, March 9, 2022, 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. CST

The Summit took place March 8-9, 2022. CPE* and CLE** credits were available for all eight sessions.

For more information on cost reports in the era of COVID-19, please see “A Checklist for Successful Hospital Cost Reporting in the Time of COVID-19,” an article by Mike Nichols published by the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) in its February 2022 issue of HFM Magazine.
