PYA Prepared to Tackle Fraud and Compliance Issues at AHLA Forum

Baltimore’s Inner Harbor is the setting for this year’s American Health Lawyers Association (AHLA) 2019 Fraud and Compliance Forum, which takes place September 25-27, 2019.  The event unites legal counsel, compliance officers, and government officials for education and connection.  PYA is proud to support programming focused on the Stark Law, False Claims Act, Anti-Kickback Statute, and current enforcement activities.

Breakout sessions will address emerging regulatory trends, recent case law and legislative developments, and implications for legal and compliance practices in healthcare.  A few of the sessions include:

  • “Hot Topics in Healthcare Cybersecurity”
  • “Avoiding the Top 10 HIPAA Compliance Pitfalls”
  • “Fraud and Abuse Issues in Telehealth/Medicine”

Joanne M. Chiedi, acting Inspector General in the Office of Inspector General at the Department of Health and Human Services, will also deliver the keynote address.
