PYA Sole Program Sponsor of AHLA Institute on Medicare and Medicaid Payment Issues

A comprehensive program on legal issues related to reimbursement, the 2019 American Health Lawyers Association’s (AHLA) Institute on Medicare and Medicaid Payment Issues took place March 19th, 2019.

PYA served as the sole program sponsor.  Our industry experts joined well-informed private sector speakers and representatives from various government agencies, including the Office of Inspector General, Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), and Department of Justice.  Alex M. Azar, II, Secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, provided the keynote.

The program also offered a variety of sessions for participants related to the implementation of Medicare and Medicaid laws, regulations, and manuals. Among others, sessions included:

  • Provider-Based Status, Under Arrangements, Enrollment, and Related Medicare Requirements
  • The Changing Face of the Medicaid Program: A Review of Recent Trends in State Medicaid Waivers
  • Innovation in a Nutshell: Key Recent CMS Payment Initiatives, Where They Came From, and What You Should Know

PYA also sponsored the networking reception, coffee breaks, and daily continental breakfasts.

If you would like more information about CMS payment initiatives, or would like assistance with any matter involving reimbursement, compliance, valuation, or strategy and integration, contact one of our PYA executives below at (800) 270-9629.
