PYA Recognized with Two International Video Awards

A film produced by PYA received two awards in the 44th annual Telly Awards. Known as the world’s largest honor for video and television, the international competition recognizes excellence in video and television across all screens and video platforms.

PYA’s film, “The Story of Abridged Beer Co.” won a Silver Telly for General – Branded Content: Documentary: Short Form and a Bronze Telly Award for General – Branded Content: Food & Beverage. The video tells the story of Abridged Beer Co., a Knoxville-based craft brewery and restaurant led by founder and co-owner Jesse Bowers.

“The Story of Abridged Beer Co.” is a mini-documentary that tells the story of the founding and growth of the popular brewery and restaurant. Recognized by the Telly Awards for its stunning visuals, captivating sound and lighting, and memorable storytelling, the film conveys a message of determination and vision It was produced by PYA marketing team members, Trevor Davis, Matthew Lennon, and Shannon Smith.

The 2023 Telly Awards received approximately 13,000 entries—the most in 10 years—from 50 countries. Top video and television content producers were represented in the competition, including Airbnb, Audible, BritBox, Disney, NASA, National Geographic Society, Netflix, Paramount, and many others. “The caliber of the work this season coming from creators such as PYA truly has reflected the theme of breaking out and standing out,” said Tellys Executive Director Sabrina Dridje.
