PYA Principal Selected to Leadership Knoxville

PYA, a leading healthcare consulting and certified public accounting firm, is pleased to announce that Principal Carol Carden, firm owner, has been selected for Leadership Knoxville’s Class of 2022. The Flagship Program run by Leadership Knoxville is now in its 38th year.

“Carol has continually demonstrated that she is an adept leader—taking on leadership roles in our firm, our field, and in her community. She is someone her peers look up to and someone who helps develop talent by mentoring others,” said PYA President and CEO Marty Brown. “We are proud to see her take this next step on her leadership journey.”

Carol is one of more than 40 business, community, and civic leaders in the Knoxville area chosen to participate in the Flagship Program of Leadership Knoxville. The program’s 10-month curriculum is based on servant leadership principles and is designed to explore community issues, hone leadership skills, and expand community connections.

In addition to her leadership locally, Carol was recently elected to the American Health Law Association Board of Directors. Prior to that, she served on and chaired the organization’s Women’s Leadership Council. She has also served in a leadership capacity with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the American Society of Appraisers.
