The annual Academic Medical Centers and Teaching Hospitals Institute program through the American Health Law Association will be held virtually this year. This year’s event will look at the role of AMCs during a pandemic, and planning for the future. PYA is the platinum sponsor for the event. PYA President Marty Brown will be speaking along with Lawrence W. Vernaglia, a partner with Foley & Lardner LLP. Their presentation, “New, Innovative, Revenue-Generating Ideas for AMCs…No, Really!”, will give an overview of innovative and non-traditional business development opportunities, including mini summaries on real-life strategies used by AMCs to diversify revenue streams.
The session will cover:
- How to generate ideas for AMCs
- Ways to help legal departments migrate from “cost centers” to “revenue centers”
- Regulatory and compliance considerations associated with such ideas
The event takes place on January 25th and 26th. Learn more and register here.
