Dan Alton Joins PYA as Chief Marketing Officer

PYA, a leading healthcare consulting and certified public accounting firm, is pleased to announce Dan Alton as Chief Marketing Officer.

PYA, a national professional services firm specializing in healthcare and business consulting, tax, audit, and valuation services, has announced the addition of Dan Alton to its leadership team as the Firm’s Chief Marketing Officer.  Alton, co-founder of Bluegill Creative, a marketing and creative firm and prior PYA affiliate, has returned to PYA to lead the Firm’s team of creative experts in marketing, content creation, public relations, graphic design, and project management and execution.

PYA President Marty Brown said, “We are pleased to welcome Dan back to the PYA family.  With the recent celebration of our Firm’s 35th anniversary, it makes sound business sense that we continue to enhance and  elevate PYA’s visibility.  We want the industries we serve to know that the excellence they have come to expect will continue—that our differentiators are value and vision.  Dan’s skill set aligns with our goals for communicating that message.”

A marketing, branding, and creative communications veteran with more than three decades of leadership experience, Dan’s expertise lies in his ability to develop brands through corporate storytelling, integrated marketing, creative direction, relationship management, and social media strategies.  Dan served as the Director of Creative Services at the University of Tennessee for ten years.  In 2005, he partnered to launch Bluegill Creative, later acquired by BigWheel.  He has worked with some of the country’s largest brands, including NASCAR, HGTV, Food Network, Clayton Homes, The Disney Channel, AMEX, Bush Brothers, and NEC, among others.

“I am thrilled to join PYA in this capacity.  Working to develop company brand and impact is my passion,” said Alton.  “PYA has played a major role in shaping my career, so returning to the Firm feels like coming home.”

Alton is a member of the American Marketing Association and American Advertising Federation.  He served in the U.S. Army, and was decorated and honorably discharged.  He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts and Master of Science in Communications from the University of Tennessee.
