Executive Bio

Susan has spent more than four decades working in a variety of healthcare managerial and clinical capacities including compliance management, clinical department leadership, provider practice administration, internal audit, quality outcomes, and healthcare advocacy. A former corporate compliance officer and clinical department director, she has a demonstrated record of success in program development and expansion, as well as the ability to form mutually beneficial relationships. Susan is a hands-on manager and decisive team leader with highly developed negotiation skills and experience cultivating strategic healthcare business partnerships, directing teams, analyzing organizational risk, implementing regulatory requirements, and creating effective training programs.

Susan is a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified CSF Practitioner (HITRUST), and a Certified Healthcare Internal Audit Professional. She is certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC), HCCA, and holds a Certification in Risk Management Assurance (CRMA).

She earned a Bachelor of Health Science, emphasis in Respiratory Therapy Management, from Wichita State University and a Master of Health Services Administration (MHSA) from the University of Kansas.

Susan is on the Board of Directors for the Heartland Community Health Clinic, and was formerly on the Board of Trustees for the Douglas County Dental Clinic. She is a member of the Health Care Compliance Association – Midwest Region, the Kansas City Chapter of the Institute of Internal Auditors, and the CPC-AAPC. Susan is a National Conference Presenter for and Committee Member of the Association of Healthcare Internal Auditors, and an MHSA Alumnus of the University of Kansas.
