As a manager on PYA’s IT Advisory services team, Colby brings broad expertise in information technology, risk management, and industry best practices to the work he performs for hospitals, clinics, behavioral health centers, health systems, the title industry, financial institutions, and managed service providers. He has conducted a number of HIPAA Security Risk Analyses for many different types of business associates and covered entities. He has also been a member of a team conducting Graham Leach Bliley Act (GLBA) Assessments; American Land and Title Act (ALTA) Best Practices Certifications; and various IT assessments and audits to include risk management, staffing, cost/benefit analysis, infrastructure, security, and project management. Colby also leads PYA’s HITRUST and SOC-2 audit services.
Colby earned his Master of Business Administration – Management Information Systems and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration – Business Information Technology from Tennessee Technological University. He is a HITRUST Alliance Certified CSF Practitioner and Certified HITRUST Quality Professional. Colby is an associate member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and has earned a Certificate for Cybersecurity for Finance and Accounting Professionals from the AICPA. He is a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and member of the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA).
