PYA Proud to Sponsor AHLA’s Upcoming AMCs and Teaching Hospitals Institute

Learn.  Network.  Engage.  That is the aim of the 2019 American Health Lawyers Association’s (AHLA) upcoming “Academic Medical Centers (AMCs) and Teaching Hospitals Institute.”  The program takes place at the Crystal Gateway Marriott Hotel, January 24-25, in Arlington, VA.

Once again, PYA will serve as the sole program sponsor.  Our experts will join distinguished speakers and industry leaders to offer wisdom and insight, providing attendees with a greater understanding of the legal and regulatory issues unique to AMCs and teaching hospitals.

The program will also offer a variety of sessions for participants to gain deeper knowledge of the challenges AMCs and teaching hospitals encounter; study recent legal developments, cases, and trends; and ponder the future of healthcare and law.  Among others, sessions include:

  • Health Equity and Community Benefit; Tax-Exempt Status for Hospitals
  • Legal Ethics: The Grey Zone—Ethical Issues in Between Compliance and Legal
  • Startup Companies and Institutional Opportunities and Risks
  • The Changing Health Care Landscape: Observations from a Reporter on the Hill

PYA will also sponsor the Networking and Diversity Inclusion Reception, the AMCs and Teaching Hospitals and Life Sciences Practice Groups luncheon, and daily continental breakfasts.

If you would like more information about legal and regulatory issues facing AMCs, or would like assistance with any matter involving compliance, valuation, or strategy and integration, contact one of our PYA executives below at (800) 270-9629.
