PYA Principal Appointed to the Attorney General’s Elder and Dependent Adult Abuse Prevention Council

PYA Consulting Principal Kathy Greenlee has been appointed to the Kansas Attorney General’s Elder and Dependent Adult Abuse Prevention Council by Governor Laura Kelly. As a council member, Greenlee will offer advice and make recommendations to the attorney general and to the Abuse, Neglect, and Exploitation Unit. She will be involved in a multitude of research and legislative efforts related to the prevention, detection, and investigation of elder abuse at local and regional levels.

An aging and long-term care expert, Greenlee supports PYA clients with over three decades of state, federal, and international executive experience and through legislative and administrative management. She is a nationally recognized thought leader and has held numerous executive appointments, including Assistant Secretary for Aging at the U.S Department of Health & Human Services; Chief of Staff and Chief of Operations for the Kansas Secretary for Aging; general counsel for the Kansas Insurance Department; and Senior Health Policy Advisor for the Kansas-City-based Center for Practical Bioethics. In 2019, she was elected to the National Academy of Social Insurance.
