PYA, a leading healthcare consulting and certified public accounting firm, is pleased to announce the arrival of Jeffrey L. Bushong to the firm.
PYA, P.C. has announced Jeffrey Bushong has joined the firm as a healthcare consulting principal effective November 14, 2019, based out of its Nashville office.
Bushong is a healthcare industry veteran with more than three decades of experience serving healthcare providers in integrated delivery systems, multi-specialty physician practices, community hospitals, tertiary referral medical centers, and management services organizations. He is an expert in the areas of physician practice operations, performance improvement, business development, revenue cycle, and physician billing.
“Jeffrey’s years of experience in physician services will enhance the efforts of our Physician Services team,” said PYA President Marty Brown. “Like others on our team, he’s worked on the front lines with health systems and physicians, managing daily operations and assisting in the development of strategic plans and governance structures. We are eager to integrate his expertise and help connect that knowledge with our clients’ needs.”
In addition to having served as interim President and Chief Operating Officer for health system employed, multi-specialty groups, Bushong has been responsible for physician contract negotiations, recruitment, and retention of new and existing physicians and providers. He has also conducted provider revenue cycle review engagements and performed medical group supply chain analysis to identify improvement opportunities.

Bushong holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Toledo and a Master of Business Administration from Pennsylvania State University. He has been involved in the American College of Healthcare Executives and the Health Issues Study Society.
