PYA Achieves HITRUST Distinction

PYA has earned distinction as a HITRUST Authorized CSF Assessor; five PYA professionals receive Certified CSF Practitioner authorization.

PYA, a certified public accounting and national professional services firm, is pleased to announce the Firm has earned the distinction of HITRUST Authorized CSF Assessor.  With this achievement, PYA can provide services using the HITRUST CSF Framework, a comprehensive information security framework that addresses a multitude of security, privacy, and regulatory challenges.  PYA is among only 79 firms worldwide to achieve this status.  It is also one of only 39 CPA firms worldwide that can provide HITRUST Certified Assessments combined with American Institute of Certified Public Accountants SOC 2 audit reports.

“This designation augments PYA’s ability to help clients comply with healthcare, third-party, government, and other industry-specific regulations and standards,” said PYA Principal Barry Mathis, a former healthcare industry CIO, CTO, senior IT audit manager, and IT risk management consultant.  “Achieving this status involves a rigorous process, so clients can be sure that the services we provide have met the most stringent evaluation.”

To attain this distinction, PYA submitted to a thorough compliance review by the HITRUST Alliance Organization (HITRUST), as well as provided assurances regarding the Firm’s professional standards and technical abilities.  Additionally, HITRUST requires that organizations approved for this authorization retain at least five qualified staff members who have been tested and authorized as Certified CSF Practitioners.  PYA is pleased to share that Erin Walker, Colby Terry, Susan Thomas, Stephen Lennon, and Barry Mathis are PYA’s first professionals designated as HITRUST-Certified CSF Practitioners.
