USS Value Based—Navigating Old Obstacles in the New World

value-based paymentsA proud supporter of the American Health Lawyers Association (AHLA), PYA will join legal counselors, compliance officers, government representatives, and other attendees October 4-6, at the 2017 Fraud and Compliance Institute, to be held at the Renaissance Harborplace Hotel, Baltimore, MD. The program will address Stark Law, False Claims Act, and Anti-Kickback enforcement efforts; explore regulatory trends; and examine recent case law and legislative developments and their effects on healthcare legal and compliance efforts.

PYA Principal Carol Carden will co-present “USS Value Based—Navigating Old Obstacles in the New World,” with Robert G. Homchick, a partner with Davis Wright Tremaine.

The presentation will explore:

  • Alternative payment models.
  • Value-based payments under program waivers, fraud and abuse laws, and IRS rules.
  • Valuation and commercial reasonableness of value-based payments.

Additionally, PYA will sponsor the Fraud and Abuse Practice Group Luncheon.
