PYA Senior Manager Annapoorani Bhat and Healthcare Consulting Staff Benjamin Davis co-authored an article, “Seven Behavioral Health Facts that Impact Demand, Supply, and Physician Compensation in the Field of Psychiatry,” which recently was published in Becker’s Hospital Review. In addition, PYA has released a study and infographic related to physician compensation in psychiatry.

However, market research suggests that physician supply has not been able to keep pace. As a result, many hospitals are experiencing difficulties securing sufficient physician resources for behavioral health services.
