PYA Thought Leadership on KanCare

The Kansas City office’s Martie Ross serves as a primary source in a comprehensive broadcast series on the State of Kansas’ effort to transform its Medicaid program.

Produced by the Kansas Health Institute and Kansas Public Radio, the report examines Gov. Sam Brownback’s plaan to improve the quality of care and control the rising cost of Medicaid, or KanCare, which serves the state’s low income, elderly, and disabled residents. Martie comments on the use of managed care organizations to meet the goal of cutting KanCare costs by $1 billion over the next five years.
