PYA Talks the New Language of Healthcare at GSCPA Conference

As a gold sponsor of the Georgia Society of CPAs’ 2014 Healthcare Conference, PYA will be on hand to offer support to financial professionals in the healthcare industry.  Held in Atlanta at the Cobb Galleria Centre, February 7, the event will provide various sessions relevant to those working with physicians, hospitals, and other providers.

As healthcare is a language “all its own,” PYA Principal David McMillan will present “Learning the New Language of Healthcare,” which will focus on:

  • Fee-for-service—moving from volume to value
  • Clinical integration
  • Value-based payment models
  • Hospital and physician value-based purchasing
  • Physician Quality Reporting System
  • Medicare Shared Savings Program
  • Bundled payment programs

Additionally, PYA Principal Doug Arnold, CPA, will provide an “Auditing and Accounting Update for Healthcare Organizations.”  The session will cover recently effective and soon-to-be effective accounting standards updates, information on governmental accounting standards, and other guidance that could affect healthcare organizations, such as the current status of exposure drafts, leases, and revenue recognition.

Conference registration is available on the GSCPA website.

If you’d like more information about the topic above, or would like to request a speaker at your organization or event, contact David McMillan or Doug Arnold at PYA, (800) 270-9629.
