PYA Official Named to Healthcare Strategy Board

Burl Stamp, a Principal at Pershing Yoakley & Associates, has been elected to the board of directors of the Society for Healthcare Strategy & Market Development of the American Hospital Association.

Stamp has long been active in SHSMD. He has served as a faculty member of the Essentials of Strategic Planning workshop, co-chaired the Physician Strategies and Resource Development Committee and chaired a task force focused on the future of the strategy disciplines within healthcare organizations.

Prior to joining PYA, he served a number of healthcare provider organizations in leadership roles. He was President/CEO of Phoenix Children’s Hospital and a Vice President for BJC HealthCare/St. Louis Children’s Hospital.

He joins three other new appointees to the 17-member SHSMD board and will serve a three-year term starting January 1.
