PYA Experts Discuss 340B Compliance, Alternative Payment Models, and Healthcare Accounting and Reporting at TSCPA Conference

The Tennessee Society of CPAs (TSCPA) Health Care Conference was held in Franklin, Tennessee, November 27-28, 2017.  The jam-packed two-day conference agenda addressed many important accounting, compliance, technology, legal, and valuation topics from the healthcare industry.

PYA Principal Shannon Sumner discussed the necessity of having the correct tools in your “toolkit” while navigating the process of demonstrating 340B compliance during her presentation, “Journey to 340B Compliance.” Her toolkit included:

  • Road Map- Complying with the Office of Pharmacy Affairs (OPA) annual attestation statement.
  • Potential Roadblocks- Exploring issues identified in recent audits.
  • Keys to Compliance- Highlighting leading practices in internal controls.
  • Navigation Systems- Providing an overview of available resources to keep a covered entity on track during its journey to 340B compliance.
