Larry Felts of PYA Honored as NBJ 2016 Power Leader in Finance

PYA (Pershing Yoakley & Associates) Principal Larry Felts has been chosen as one of the Nashville Business Journal’s 2016 Power Leaders in Finance.

PYA is pleased to announce that Audit and Business Advisory Principal Larry Felts has been chosen as one of the Nashville Business Journal’s 2016 Power Leaders in Finance.  The Power Leaders in Finance distinction honors accountants, bankers, and financial analysts who demonstrate excellence in assisting Middle Tennessee companies with their finances.

“We are extremely proud that Larry has been recognized by the Nashville Business Journal,” said PYA President Marty Brown.  “Larry’s commitment to providing clients with first-class service and exceptional value is no surprise to those of us who have the privilege of working with him.”

The Nashville Business Journal annually collects nominations from the public before conducting a two-week closed-voting process to determine the recipients of this designation.

“I am honored and humbled to number among this year’s award recipients,” said Felts.  “Having a beneficial impact on companies within our region is of the utmost importance to me, and I look forward to continuing to help clients achieve their business goals.”

A certified public accountant within the state of Tennessee, Felts provides external and internal auditing and industry-focused services to businesses that include financial institutions, retail and distribution, higher education and other not-for-profit entities, and privately held growth companies.  He has significant experience with regulatory compliance matters and internal control design, and has assisted clients in performing organizational risk assessments and in correcting internal control deficiencies.

Felts’ commitment to serve extends to a long list of organizations with which he has been involved, including the Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the University of Tennessee’s Chancellor’s Associates and 1914 Society, Greater Knoxville United Way Board of Directors, Junior Achievement of East Tennessee Board of Directors, Nashville Breakfast Exchange Club, Exchange Child Abuse Prevention Center Board of Directors, and Nashville Capital Network Advisory Board of Directors.
