Mark W. Browne, M.D.
For over 13 years in his career in healthcare, Mark W. Browne, M.D. has served in several executive level positions at various healthcare organizations such as Senior Vice President of Medical Affairs, Chief Medical Officer, Physician Executive and Physician Representative. A few representative examples of Dr. Browne’s accomplishments include improving core measure compliance for a hospital from 40% to over 90%; redesigning medical staff recruiting and physician relations departments leading to a decrease in annual physician turnover from a five year peak of 19% to an annual rate of less than 6% within two years; implementation of physician documentation and education program leading to a 2.9 million dollar improvement in net revenue for the hospital.
Dr. Browne has also been instrumental in the financial turnaround and operational success of both hospital programs and physician practices. Other experience includes, but is not limited to, the creation of community task forces for various issues, resolution of physician behavioral issues, development of services at primary care sites, physician practice management, business development and redesign of medical staff development departments.
Dr. Browne received his doctorate in medicine from Wright State University in 1991 and his Masters of Medical Management Degree at Carnegie Mellon University in 2008. He is a diplomat of the American Board of Pediatrics and the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is also a Certified Physician Executive through the American College of Physician Executives.
