Managed Care Executive – Knoxville
Pershing Yoakley & Associates has been recognized as one of the top
20 largest healthcare consulting firms in the country. We are growing
and looking for top talent to fill the role of Manage Care Executive.
The Managed Care Service Line Leader will be part of a team that provides operational and financial consulting to health plans, and managed care contract and strategy consulting to health care providers. He/she is responsible for advising client management on strategy as well as day-to-day operations. He/she is a dedicated team member who consistently demonstrates integrity within a professional environment.
Requirements
Candidates must possess a minimum of an undergraduate degree in business, economics, finance or related field. Candidates should have knowledge of managed care operations, finance, strategy plan design and network composition and relations. Ten to fifteen years experience in health plan operations and contracting is preferred. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required. Previous consulting experience is a plus.
The Managed Care Executive will:
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of financial and operational issues of a health plan and apply this knowledge to client situations
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of managed care contracting and apply this knowledge to client situations
- Use extensive knowledge of client's industry to identify relevant trends, developments and key performance drivers and communicate this information to client management
- Demonstrate excellent project management skills, inspire teamwork and responsibility with engagement team members and use current technology and tools to enhance the effectiveness of deliverables and service
- Understand the Firm and its service lines and actively assess what the firm can deliver to bring value to clients
- Generate new business opportunities by developing ideas and solutions to present to clients
- Perform administrative role within the department including scheduling, staff mentoring and training, and billing and collections.
